Last month I shared some of the exciting workshops and teachers we’ll be having at SpiritCon this month. This is a continuation of the rest of the workshops offered the weekend of May 19th and 20th. We hope you can join us for the weekend of education and fun.
Everyone in our metaphysical community knows Barbara Criswell! She’s the owner of Aquarius in Kansas City Mo. But she is known in Mayan circles as Ol Zazil. Her name means “Gateway of Consciousness” was given to her by Hunbatz Men in a naming ceremony at Uxmal. Barbara will be sharing her love and knowledge of the Mayans with a Rituals and Teachings workshop. This workshop covers the basic Itza Maya Altar, the directions, colors and elements as well as basic Mayan Spiritual Teachings. Barbara will be leading a Mayan meditation and chanting. If this interests you, consider bringing a drum or other noise maker to this workshop.
Barbara will also have a workshop on the Mayan calendar and prophecy. This will include an understanding of their numerology, how their calendars work, their concept of time and space, and some of their mythology.
Cyndy Meyer is coming in from St. Louis to join us. She is the publisher of Spirit Seeker magazine. Cyndy is an intuitive, life coach, and Feng Shui consultant as well. Cyndy will be giving a workshop on Feng Shui and creating a sacred space. You will be working with your own floor plan to design your spaces to fully support your personal goals and intentions. Her second workshop will be on creating a vision board to attract the life you desire with Visualization and Intention. In this class, you will learn about the nine areas of the Feng Shui Bagua/Grid, and create a Dream/Vision Board with a collage of pictures and words to help you attract your desires in the areas of prosperity, health, relationships, career and more. Sheree Ross is a certified health coach as well as a Reiki Master. She is also an EFT practitioner and trained herbalist. In her business, digestive issues related to food allergies (especially gluten and dairy), emotional, and stress related issues are addressed using a bio-individual approach to learn to eat the correct food without calorie counting, diets or deprivation. Her workshop will be about how the foods we eat affect our brain (as well as our bodies). Food enables the brain to process with clarity and raises your vibration to deepen your spiritual experiences. This class will help you in determining which foods may be disruptive to your body. It will also give you some tools to help determine how foods make you feel, whether its tired or energized. You will learn a different way of thinking about food to help increase the energy of your chakras which in turn helps you ‘see’ with your psychic abilities.
Dan Pelletier comes to us from Iowa. He along with Jeanette Roth own The Tarot Garden-a highly respect resource for tarot decks and related information on the internet. Dan has been reading tarot for 40 years and palmistry for over ten. He is an international speaker on the theory and history of tarot. He also has several articles published on the subject as well as a book called, “The Process-The Way of the Tarot Reader”. Dan’s workshop will be on basic palmistry. The workshop will consist of two parts-understanding the lines of the hand and hand reading.
Jeanette Roth is the co-owner of The Tarot Garden which maintains one of the largest databases of tarot decks on the Internet. She has studied and collected tarot for over 25 years. Jeanette will have a workshop on enhancing communication through the Rosetta Stone method of Tarot reading. We’ve all experienced communication barriers dealing with our interpersonal relationships. The Rosetta Stone method is an original and unique method of spreading and interpreting the tarot. This two part workshop will cover communication theory basics, the mechanics of the Rosetta Stone technique and sample readings. The second part will guide participants doing their own Rosetta Stone reading. Attendees are encouraged to bring one or more they enjoy reading from. Decks will be available to borrow if you don’t have one.
